Pierre Chiffre worked as a studio arranger and conductor from the late 1960s until the early 1980s, recording music with artists such as Pascal Bréhat, Johnny Hallyday (‘Comme si je devais mourir demain’), Franck Didier, and Claudia Alexandre. Moreover, Chiffre arranged several records for Gérard Palaprat.

Chiffre was the arranger and conductor of the 1974 Belgian entry, ‘Fleur de liberté’ by singer-songwriter Jacques Hustin. This song finished ninth in the contest held in Brighton.
