Biography
David Sprinfield began playing the piano at the age of eight. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he wrote songs for Sophie & Magaly, Les Felins, Alain Fondat, and Daniel Lubrano – to name just a few. Orchestrations of his were recorded for songs by Franck Olivier and Pierre Charby.

David Sprinfield arranged and conducted the 1981 French Eurovision entry ‘Humanahum’ (composed by Jean-Paul Cara with lyrics by Joe Gracy, the team of songwriters which was also behind ‘L’oiseau et l’enfant’, which won the contest in 1977), performed by Jean Gabilou, who came third – only eleven points behind the eventual winners from the United Kingdom.

In due course, a more extensive biography of David Sprinfield will be published on this website
