Born: January 16th, 1960, Los Yébenes (Spain)
Since the 1980s, Javier Losada has worked with Spanish and Latin American artists – sometimes as a pianist (for Alejandro Sanz and Albert Hammond, for example), mostly as an arranger. Orchestrations by Losada were used for recordings with Mocedades, Mecano, Celia Cruz, Azúcar Moreno, and Ricky Martin. Losada also arranged Tino Casal’s number-one-hit ‘Embrujada’ (1983) and recorded an album with Sergio Dalma and the Bratislava Symphonic Orchestra. He set up a recording studio with percussionist Mariano Pérez Bautista.
Javier Losada arranged and conducted the Spanish entry to the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, ‘Todo esto es la música’, performed by blind singer/pianist Serafin. This song, composed by Alfredo Valbuena and Luis Miguélez, finished fourteenth.
In due course, a more extensive biography of Javier Losada will be published on this website
