Leon Ives specializes in recording pop music with symphonic orchestra arrangements; he conducted the Munich Philharmonic with ABBA repertoire and recorded the album ‘Sing Moody Blues’ in 2003 with Justin Hayward and the Frankfurt Rock Orchestra.
Leon Ives arranged and conducted the 1992 Austrian entry, ‘Zusammen geh’n’, a classical Eurovision ballad, composed by Dieter Bohlen and performed by Tony Wegas. The orchestration includes an unusual yet original cello solo at the beginning of the song. Austria finished tenth among twenty-three competing countries in ’92.
In due course, a more extensive biography of Leon Ives will be published on this website
